Roadtrip 2022 Fall: Richland - Boise - Ely - Kanab - Sedona - Joshua Tree - Paso Robles - Calistoga - Brookings - Cannon Beach

Day 46 - Joshua Tree to Paso Robles

there's snow on them th'ar mountains

Russ settles in on the porch at Frontier Coffee. A delicious breakfast sandwich is in order before we hit the road - and of course - coffee. Beans by a new entry to the coffee roundup - Joshua Tree Coffee Roasters.

One last shot of the typical Yucca Valley decor.

Quite the cloud show as we turn out of the Yucca.

Should stop and try these at some point - "greatest burgers on earth"! We would need to substantiate that claim.

If you can get past the parking lot, there is a cafe.

This Shave Ice outlet has been in this spot in the middle of nowhere for as long as we can remember. We have never seen customers nor the operator.

Boron - west of Kraemer Junction.

Everything what you need.

Mojave CA routinely delivers the winner of the cheapest advertised price photo - but the best they've got this year is $99. Surely that can't win.

Even the mannequins line up for Black Friday.

The long descent into California's central valley.

Arvin. Amazingly nice.

Central valley fruit trees go by.

Our trusty 4 runner races the light into Paso Robles.

Electrifying the valley.

Clouds build over Buttonwillow.

Darkness over the oil patch.

Things brighten up at Blackwell's Corner.
